Narcissists: Arrogance & Ego

A narcissist’s personal résumé looks nothing like what you’d expect from a healthy individual. At first glance, they may seem charming, accomplished, or confident. But underneath the surface lies a long list of toxic traits that eventually reveal their true character.
They are arrogant, carrying an unpleasant pride in who they believe themselves to be. They exaggerate achievements, fabricate stories, and have no problem telling outright lies if it serves their ego. A narcissist is convinced they are special and entitled to more admiration, resources, and attention than anyone else.
You’ll find no genuine empathy here. They refuse to admit fault, deflecting blame onto others to protect their fragile self-image. They are envious of anyone who dares to succeed or feel content and will humiliate or belittle people to feel superior.
Their sense of entitlement makes them unwilling to give but perfectly happy to take. They future fake—promising things they never intend to deliver—to keep you invested. Grandiose, self-absorbed, and preoccupied with their own idealised image, they demand constant praise and validation.
Recognising these patterns is crucial. It’s not your fault you got caught in their web—but it is your right to step away and reclaim your peace.
